The ANALYSIS tab provides tools for performing measurements, along with functions to quickly change the way you visualize the data displayed in the Viewport

Terrain Lenses Group

IconNameDescription
TransparentTurn on / off the Transparent lens. Allows viewing of Project Items that may be beneath the Elevation Terrain, or hard to see due to surface features (such as trees).
Slope DirectionTurn on / off the Slope Direction lens. Yellow arrows show the direction of the downslope on the Surface Terrain
-
ArrowAllows you to choose the color of Slope Direction terrain lens arrows.
Slope Steepness Turn on / off the Slope Steepness lens. There are 2 types (Palette) of Slope Steepness lenses to choose from. The first palette colors all of your terrain and slopes over the Palette color ramp, with lower slopes displayed from light blue, and higher slopes as bright red.

The second palette only displays slopes exceeding an input threshold limit, displaying them as red. This is a Ridge / Peak feature.
PaletteAllows you to choose between different options of the Slope Steepness Terrain Lens.
-
ThresholdOnly available for use when the second palette for Slope Steepness is selected. The threshold allows you to set the percentage at which slopes are highlighted. Any slopes higher than the Threshold are shown in the Viewport as Red.
ElevationTurn on / off the Elevation lens. Data is displayed on the selected color palette ramp according to the input min and max elevations. Any data lower than the Min or higher than the Max are not recolored.
-
Min / MaxThe Min / Max allows you to set a range of elevation levels at which your Elevation lens displays its color ramp by a selected Palette. Setting the Min elevation value and checking the box starts the Elevation lens coloring at the set elevation; the Max Elevation lens is set where the top range ends.
ContoursTurn on / off the Contours lens. Contours are displayed and dynamically adjust as you zoom in or out or adjust according to the set interval with major contours shown every 5 intervals.

Special note: the Contour lens does not create contour lines that can be exported! If you want to export contour lines, you need to create a surface TIN from a survey and export your created contour lines.
GraticuleTurn on / off the Graticule lens. A Graticule is displayed and shows the distance of areas between grid lines on the terrain. The distance between intervals of the meridian and parallel grid lines can be adjusted.
-
IntervalSets the interval distance between contours that are displayed by the Contour lens. Dynamic is the default distance setting.
-
MajorSets the color for Major interval isolines.
-
MinorSets the color for Minor interval isolines.
